Budding Scientist Program

June 27, 2017

This year, Ms. Devlin’s class participated in the Budding Scientists Program. This program allows teachers and their students to explore urban ecology in their local communities through authentic, hands-on, inquiry based projects that are supported by students’ natural curiosity and creativity.  Class 5-307 investigated the effects that marine debris can have on the bird population at Jamaica Bay.  Students presented their research at the STEM Matters NYC Elementary Science Expo on June 7, 2017. Congratulations!
